Question hidden boards being viewed?

I have a hidden board on my forum called the lounge, and one of my mods said that a regular user was browsing the board. However, I have a regular user account on my forum for testing things out, and I can't see it, so I know that the other user can't see it as well. However, why does it say that the regular users are viewing the board?

This is a screenshot of my hidden board. The user Rev is the regular user, the rest of us are admins for the forum. How, do I make it so the online users and the people viewing the board differentiate? or is that even possible?

Apart from the fact that you did not actually upload an image that we could actually see, what makes you suspect that you have genuine unauthorised accesses occurring with your hidden categories (aside from one of your users claiming that they'd seen this happen)?

I don't know ... but then again, I wouldn't necessarily believe everything I saw on an internet page, either! :laugh:

Seriously though, there may be an issue here and there may not be. The person "viewing" the hidden category may not be a person at all, it may be a phantom or it may be a web 'bot and they may not actually be reading anything at all. On the other hand, there may be a defect and it might while to reason why, by undertaking methodical testing under controlled laboratory conditions. And, even after knowing what is happening, it might take a while longer to devise a solution.

I agree with you that you have this situation and you are concerned about it. I am unable to confirm or deny whether that is a security issue or not. I can't reproduce the symptoms myself.

Seeing as my attachment didn't load, I'm doing it the hard way so that you may see what I'm talking about.

Hopefully now you can see what I'm talking about, you'll notice next to Li and Moloch, there is a user named Rev. Jupiter. He is the regular user for the forum. However, he shouldn't be able to view the Mods admin Lounge.

Now that I've seen, from your picture, that you are using K 1.5.something this is my advice: I recommend that you upgrade to K 1.6.2. Thank you.
