Question Thread View Counter....?

We seem to have developed a problem with our forum.....

when you click on a catagory.... it shows all the threads..... it then tells you who posted last on each thread... and in the bottom right hand corner,how many people have viewed this thread......!

before... if 10 logged on members viewed this, along with 50 guest.... the number on the thread view would read 60....!

now...... if 10 logged on members view this, along with 50 guest...... the number on the thread view is 10.....!

therefore we don't really know how many people have visited and read the threads throughout the day... ony how many logged on read them.....

you see this thread posted by Breeze.....

now a thread that was posted 4 hours ago and had 7 replies would normally have been viewed by 3/4 times the 47 stated..... but for some reason... guest you are not logged in... are not counted if they view the thread....!

I visited your site. I looked at the "Recent Discussions" - the example you mentions showed 57 views.

I viewed the thread and then I looked again at "Recent Discussions" - the display shows 57 views.

It seems that your count is not increasing when guests view that thread. It is also apparent that you using a heavily customised template (probably based on an outdated default_ex template and this may be the cause of your problem: Kunena 1.5 template compatibility

BTW, was there strong pressure to remove the "Powered by Kunena" credits at the foot of your forum?

we had someone build the site for us..... he must have removed the credits.... we're in the proccess of trying to get someone who is familiar with this system to maintain the site for us and apply any updates... as I'm not an IT boff.... :blink:

Do you know what version of Kunena you are running? :dry:
