Question Forums won't display except for super admin

Hi there,

Hope someone can help me. I have a number of forums set up, and whilst I am signed in as me (super administrator) I can see the list of all my forums to choose from along with the other boxes such as the top intro box saying Welcome, Recent Posts, Forum Stats, Online Members info and the box at the bottom that says Mark all forums read.

However, if I log in as an author none of these forums are displayed on the page, yet all the other boxes are.

The forums have been set up for authors to see.

I've looked everywhere to find a way of anyone except Super admin to be able to see the forums.

Can anyone help please? - I'd be very grateful!

i comments on forum setup a little while ago with a howto but that was from publishers but you can easily change were i have put publisher to author and acheve what you require.

My forums are already set to author for all of them.

I've done some testing and found out that only users who are assigned Super Admin status can even see the forums on the page.

I'm wondering if the software maybe be corrupt.

follow that howto to the letter and it will work

you may also want to check to see what access level you have set for the forum menu item
