Question JomSocial avatars in Kunena are too small

Hello,

I recently upgraded Kunena from 2.0.4 to 3.0.5.

There's an issue with JomSocial avatars. I think that the new Kunena version shows avatar thumbnails (those 64x64 images), not original avatar files like before.

How can I change that? I would like to have bigger avatars like before...

Thank you!

BR,
Hannes

I am not an expert on integrating JomSocial with Kunena and, therefore, I do not know what your forum looked like before and what has changed now.

May I make a couple of suggestions:

Change the forum integration plugin settings as shown in red below:

Kunena - AlphaUserPoints Disabled
Kunena - Community Builder Disabled
Kunena - Gravatar Disabled
Kunena - JomSocial Enabled: access=0 login=1 activity=1 avatar=1 profile=1 private=0 activity_points_limit=0 activity_stream_limit=122
Kunena - Joomla Enabled: access=1 login=0
Kunena - Kunena Enabled: avatar=0 profile=0
Kunena - UddeIM Enabled: private=1

Uninstall the following modules that do not work with K 3.0.5:

  1. JomSocial - My Kunena Forum Menu 2.0.3
  2. JomSocial - My Kunena Forum Posts 3.0.5.1
  3. JomSocial - Kunena Groups 2.0.3

These modules do not work with K 3.0.5. Contact JomSocial to obtain updated versions of those things. I hope that helps a little bit.

Thanks, sozzled - I really appreciate your help.

However these actions didn't solve the issue and more ideas are very welcome :)

Thank you.

Uninstall the following modules that do not work with K 3.0.5:

  1. JomSocial - My Kunena Forum Menu 2.0.3
  2. JomSocial - My Kunena Forum Posts 3.0.5.1
  3. JomSocial - Kunena Groups 2.0.3
These modules do not work with K 3.0.5.

Is there potential conflicts if using the My Kunena Forum Posts plugin still? I hate having lost the Forum Menu and the Kunena Groups integration, but my site design relies heavily on the users JomSocial profile displaying their content from the site, mainly their forum posts and replies.

What's the down side to leaving this plugin enabled using K 3.0.8 ?

you can still use the plugin. I don't know any error on it.
