I am still receiving an error in the search for:
Also, i cannot search "All Categories" in the advanced search, if i do all i ever get is:
"No forums to search in."
If i select an individual forum to search in the search works but i get the warning above.
Any ideas to these issues? thanks

There is a similiar discussion in german forum:
www.kunena.com/forum?func=view&catid=36&id=17114 .
That the search-function does not work in every forum, could be a permission problem. The user in german board had a forum "only registered" and got these problems. When open it all for public access, the search function works in every forum.
(yes not a solution, but a hint
)
He also got an error message and the error message disappeared with one of theses code snippets:
www.kunena.com/forum?func=view&catid=93&id=16728
www.kunena.com/forum?func=view&catid=92&id=16708
