People who are new to anything should not use test versions of software - the experience can be quite unrewarding, to say the least. An improved version of Kunena - one that is J! 1.5 "natively" compatible) - will be released soon. In the meantime, use Kunena 1.0.10 (you will need to enable the System-Legacy plugin to install it.

Kunena 1.0.10 is stable. There are a few problems with it - see the "solutions, workarounds and tutorials" discussion - but it works! :)

There are also newer versions of Joomla than that. Why that one?

That's a good point, GM. I'm reasonably comfortable with K 1.0.10 and J! 1.5.10 but I haven't yet tried Kunena with J! 1.5.11. Even Matias states that he has his doubts about the most recently-released version of Joomla in terms of not introducing problems for Kunena.
