How does Karma Work ? Can nyone plz elaborate ?

Is it just like one user will award points to other users ?

Yes. You can either add or remove karma from a user.

We're thinking on redesigning it for future releases, you have any idea how could it work?

Ok heres my idea of karma.

Karma would be used to thank a user for a good post or reprimend him for an inapropriate one. Though right now you can just spam the same button over and over and keep bringing it up (though havnt tried this as a normal user).

A user should be able to give a + or a - for a post just 1 - 3 times and needs to have given karma points to another user before he can give it to the same user again to also prevent spammage of points.

I also beleive you should be able to give a reason why you give him a + or a - (optional ofc)

So basicly the lineout:

User 1 -> me
User 2
User 3

1. User 2 posts a usefull post
2. I see this post and give him a thumbs up
3. User 2 posts another great post and i give him another thumbs up
4. User 2 again posts a brilliant post and I want to give him a thumbs up again but I get an error that I have given too much karma to that user and need to give it to some other users first before I can give him points again
5. User 3 posts a great post
6. I see that post and give him a thumbs up
7. I return to the latest post of user 2 and am able to give him a thumbs up now;

Ok this is about a small lineout of what I think

pretty good explanation, and pretty on the line of what we're thinking for it, reason will not be an option, but mandatory when giving bad karma.

We're also thinking on stablishing an option where posts with over X negative karma get collapsed, and posts by user with over Y karma get ALL collapsed also.

Also options to ban when reaching a karma peak or so.

But all this is still in designing phase
