Question New events for developers

Dear Kunena team,

I kindly ask to consider adding new events for developers in template layout which can extend standard features and make Kunena more flexible with theming.

What kind of new events do you want?

I'd happy if you add a feature to generate content on the fly since It is needed for each position that contains id of the element. Now it's uncomfortable to write separate module for it. For example first post position in Crypsis template looks like "kunena_msg_"+"first_post_id")
Ideally, if you will add two events after and before rendering of these positions.

May I ask would it be considered to add events in upcoming Kunena 5.0?

New events will give more ability to display custom information depending on webmaster's requests.
I.e. country flags below user information, whatever else. Now there are neither template positions nor events to display custom information there. (events are preferably)

yes we have some ideas how to improve this. But you could also do a pr, if you know how to add triggers.

Also you could make a list, where you want to have the triggers.

Yes, sure. Here are full details concerning (I'll use names for better example).

1. Feature request to add positions in Crypsis BS2/3 at all pages (it can help to display banner in the top and custom module in the bottom):

newkunenatop - run event in header before list of categories. (screenshot1.png)
newkunenabottom - run event below list of categories and before footer (screenshot1.png)



2. Feature request to add events:

1. Topic page
sidebar event - run event below user avatar in topics / user page. Using such event it's possible to display something via custom plugin. I.e. country flags, special medals. etc. (screenshot2.png)
event below first post - it'll help for customization. I.e. there we can display list or related topics via plugin. (screenshot2.png)



3. User profile view (screenshot3.png)

profile event1 - run event to display something via plugin. I.e. custom fields.
profile event 2 - run event to display something via pliugin
profile event 3 - run event or display position that allow 3rd party developer to display new tab



4. User profile edit mode (screenshot4.png)

Just only event or position to add custom tab.



If you would release these events it'll be just fantastic since t extend standard Kunena API and let 3rd party developers to writ own plugins.

I also vote for this suggestion. Sulpher created many great extentions for Kunena!

first we are finish our new features, then bugfixes, then we are adding the new events.

Or if there are pr from someone else, we can include it faster.

I also vote for this suggestion and would like to see it in the next versions Kunena.
