Kunena 7.0.9 & Kunena 6.4.14 – Security Updates Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.9 [K 7.0.9] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x./6.1.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0

I have Joomla 4.0.5 installed as a fresh install, then installed a themepack for the site using SPpagebuilder. Then installed Kunena 6.0.6. 

Strangly, the first few posts (like 3) went fine. Then all of a sudden got an error (0) call to a member function get() on string - then home page button. 
I completely rebuilt the site from scratch except for mysql, but deleted the Kunena tables and let the installer rebuild them. I did exactly the same thing again. 

I notice that before I get this new topic error, other functions stop working each time (they're like clues it's going to fail). Can't attach documents, action menues don't work etc.
I wanted to see if it was a memory leak and restarted teh whole server (I have the ability to do that), no luck, the same function on reboot. Once this problem starts it will not go away. But it doesn't have right away after a fresh install. Hope that helps someone with a few clues.

You have created a wrong menu item (red) and the correct item (green) trashed. So have you already at the first visit of your forum a wrong path and this has a negative effect. So it's with this configuration  e.g. also not possible, to open Recent Topics. 
If you want to change the landing page in the forum, please read this:
docs.kunena.org/en/faq/kunena-menu
And if you create links in other menus, which are linked to the forum, it must be the Menu Item Type = Menu Item Alias.

Hello,
I'm not sure how you found that but very helpful. I have read the documents and performed the following:
1) trashed all K forum menues (The Kunena directory)
2) trashed my main menu reference to the forums
3) fully emptied the trash.
4) using K tools, rebuilt the K menues
5) in main menu, was sure to add system->alias to menubar (did not rename)
6) in K main menu, changed reference to be entire index rather than recent posts.
7) flushed all system caches and browswer caches (local machine),
8) main menu item works and functions as it should, takes me to index listing of forums.
9) trying to make a new post, still returns same error. Nothing has changed.

I'm not sure how you found that but very helpful.

I saw it in your configuration report. And also that you have installed the Community Builder. So I can reproduce this problem now. It seems a bug with the CB integration (I've added a ticket to our bug list).
Try it with disabled Community Builder.
