Question Birthdate values reset when user saves preferences

I updated to 5.1 and have been encouraging users to input their birthdate. However, when a user opens preferences, enters a value and saves the birthdate is reset to zeros.

If I open a user record in the backend and enter the data it will be present when the user opens preferences. However, on save, once again it is removed, being replaced by zeros.

yes, the input popup is not correct.

Can you try with this input: 11/30/1986

Not really since there are three boxes defined for the values (yyyy mm dd or yyyy dd mm). I tried though but as you'd expect, only two digits are allowed in the third box reserved for the day.

Thank you. On a positive note, the admin->users editor works well for this.
