Hi Techs,

Had an issue with my menu disappearing on the frontend for Kunena after the uprade to K5. I followed the instructions to delete the old menu and then have Kunena create a new one. Now my forum index page only shows the section categories without any subs. Plus if you click on the section title is blinks and won't show the subs that way either.

Can you help me please?

Hi Diana,
The categories aren't gone, but just collapsed.

When you have on the category, you will see an x, on the right, if you click on it, you will see the category again. You need to do both categories.
Then wait for some seconds, then you can go to other page. He is saving the status from the collapsed categories.

You can also: Profile - edit - forum settings - clean cache. Then will open all collapsed items

Oh my, I thought I posted in the wrong category so I posted this again in the K5.0 support. Then I deleted this post right when you posted a reply. Sorry!

So if a new user comes to the site will they have to click on the X's? I really want the whole category list to show for everyone.

Thank you,

Diana

No, new users (all users) can see all categories.

Only you have clicked on the collapse button, so it will be saved only on your own browser. Everyone else see the normal index.
There are 3 ways to fix this state of the collapsed windows.

1) Open manually the windows, and wait a few seconds, to save the state.
2) Clean the collapsed window state by profile - edit - forum settings - clean cache
3) Delete cookies on your browser

Shouldn't be a problem for new users. As default, the categories are open.

Important! Always create a backup before you make any changes to your website!
