All the green 'new' indicators dont go away when pressing the mark topics read buttons both on the forum index and the ones at the bottom of the category index.

At a guess it is likely a template issue but posting here incase anyone can give me a tip on something to look out for. I do have a test site with the same template though and it seems to function correctly on that.

Database issue? if so which one, is it _kunena_user_read.sql ?

regards.

Do you have enabled plugin - Page Cache? Then disable it. Because its saved the state for a long time.

It can also a other cache setting, please try to change it.

I did have it enabled (green tick under plugins) but it had another setting inside it 'use page cache yes/no' and it was set to no already.

though i disabled it also so its a red cross now.

But it didnt make a difference.
Kunena cache is off and i do not see any other cache plug ins. I turned joomlas cache off
also in global configuration > System > Cache OFF - caching disabled. Again it didnt change anything, mark forum read buttons still dont do anything.

When i click on the mark forum read buttons, it does go through the motions, and shows this at the top of the forum like it should.

All posts in this category have been marked as read

But the green new indicators dont go away despite it showing that message. So the button is clickable.

Once someone looks at a post by navigating to it, the (new) goes away so that part of it works.

You need disable the plugin - Page Cache. Then you need to clear your browser cache.

Because the plugin, will enable the cache into your browser. So it will be stored on your computer, to speed up your site.

It isnt the browser cache, ive tried that, tried incognito windows, changed IP.

Its a site wide issue and everyone else, all the site users, has the same problem.

The current site was taken as an akeeba backup of the old one and the upgrades done on this backup as a test site (new template, uprgade to j3 from j2.5, update kunena etc etc ) , once it was ready , another akeeba backup and it was uploaded, this is when this issue occurred.

I also have an issue with the followin plugin interfering with post preview function....

System - NoNumber Advanced Module Manager

It is making the post Preview not function, nothing shows up in it. Ive done some searches but couldnt find this plugin causing it.

Ive turned all plug ins off and turned them on one by one, refreshed the forum reply page every time, and tracked it down, it is the above plug in making the preview not work.

Has anyone heard of this issue with NoNumber?

regards.
