ck editor language was created by Pinkeltje
Tried this: www.kunena.org/docs/en/faq/ckeditor-configuration
Changing skin is no problem, but language is not working.
As soon as I add custom to Set the name of the prefix to load a custom config file for CKeditor the editor disappears.

If you have done everything correctly, it should work. Have you downloaded the correct language file? Test it with an unmodified customckeditor_config.js

I have tested it (with German language file), it works.

I must have a mistake/typo/code error in customckeditor_config.js
I can see that language is loading, but editor toolbar is not visible. To avoid any conflicts I tested with Cassiopeia and Aurelia.
With unmodified customckeditor_config.js editor toolbar is visible.

Thanks for your help. It was a very stubborn cache problem.
For anybody having the same problem: check your site with Browse in private mode

Not sure if it has something to do with this problem, but  I am getting this error:
Code:
GET https://cke4.ckeditor.com/ckeditor4-secure-version/versions.json?v=4.22.1 404 (Not Found)

This has nothing to do with the language files. This message means that cross-platform reading of the file json on ckeditor.com via other servers is not allowed.

Rich,as a non-programmer I made a mistake in setting the NL language. Your example for the customckeditor_config.js contained the code CKEDITOR.lang.languages={"en":1,"nl":1} within the function.

CKEDITOR.editorConfig = function( config ) {    // Define changes to default configuration here. For example:
    // config.language = 'nl';
    // config.uiColor = '#AADC6E';
    // config.skin = 'moono-lisa';
CKEDITOR.lang.languages={"en":1,"nl":1}

And I had the entry before the function. Suggestion is to add a few more words to the documentation in Faqs??

The meaning of // is understood. What I meant is to add a few words in the documentation of the CKeditor where it says how to add another language
  • In order for this language to be displayed, the entry
    Code:
    CKEDITOR.lang.languages={"en":1,"de":1}
    (instead “de” your language code) must be made into the customckeditor_config.js
For non-programmers it would have been much clearer if it also had stated where ; something like
  • In order for this language to be displayed, the entry
    Code:
    CKEDITOR.lang.languages={"en":1,"de":1}
    (instead “de” your language code) in the function statement CKEDITOR.editorConfig = function( config ) { must be made into the customckeditor_config.js
I had made the entry in the file but before the function statement.

i understand better, i can add a new setting in Kunena configuration to define the language that needs to be loaded by CKeditor so it will avoid to modifiy the customckeditor_config.js manually
