Kunena 7.0.11 & Kunena 6.4.16 – Security Updates Released and K7.1 in RC1 2

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of three simultaneous security release : K6.4.16, K7.0.11 and K7.1 RC2. Just a reminder K6.4.16 receives only securities fixes untill end of 2026, so it's advised for users to upgrade to K7.0.11. K7.0.11 is the last release of the K7.0 because it's replaced by K7.1 branch with the stable release in the corner. The translations for K7.1 on crowdin.com/project/kunena-forum-7-1 needs to be checked or improved becasue it has been generated by TM (Translation Machine).

Very recently photos are not showing when uploaded into forum posts. Also photos previously uploaded are no longer displaying.

The uploaded photos are all viewable via the backend of Kunena so I think the actual upload process is working OK.

I am unable to use debug as for some reason the site goes offline if I try, I’m not sure if this is connected. However if I use developer tools in Chrome I can get the information that the images are not being found - 404, as in the attached screenshot.

I have tried changing templates from Crypsis to Blue Eagle with no change.

Any ideas please?

OK, just tried that again and uploaded a new photo to test which worked :) Thank you.

Previously non displaying photos still don't show though - is it possible to get them to do so again?

Go to Joomla Global Setting and disable the option Adds Suffix to URL.
Your security setting is "Protect Attachments = Yes".

Therefore the image addresses are now such as website/forum/attachment/4

the address website/forum/attachment/4.html does not work. "4.html" is not a image address.

Important! Always create a backup before you make any changes to your website!
