Solved No support for K 3.0 or K 4.0 [Blue Eagle] either

The forum announcement posted yesterday states:

We will stop support for the K3.0.X on 31 August.

You should update immediately to K4.0.3 for support and bug fixes. Works for J2.5.28 and J3.4.

After this date we will move all K3.0.X topics to archive. If you still have issues, please update to the latest Kunena version.

If you have still issues, you can create a new support topic.

I created a topic asking for support for K 4.0.3 Blue Eagle. The subject of that topic was K 4.0.3: How to enable reCAPTCHA v2 with Crypsis and Blue Eagle . In this topic I pointed out that, while new features were added in K 4.0 and, in the last three weeks, new features are still being added in K 4.0.4, why is it the case that K 4.0 Blue Eagle has falling off the developers' radar screen and is not supported to the same degree as other parts of Kunena?

I note that the topic I created (which has now been locked) is not "solved" (as one of the developers has claimed). The topic I created is not even resolved satisfactorily.

This is only one case among many where it is apparent that support for K 3.0 and K 4.0 has already ceased long before the 31 August deadline and long before the planned release of K 5.0 (or K 4.1 or whatever is the next major/minor version of Kunena expected later this year).

Comments from the community would be welcome on this subject.

Like we said already a few times, Blue Eagle is a legacy template on K4.0. And will be removed in the version K5.0 (3Q/4Q 2015). And legacy means no new features, just support. and bug fixes.

So Blue Eagle will not get any recaptcha v2 integration. That was your question, so we closed and move your question.

If this is true, can you explain why a new feature will be added to Blue Eagle (at line 96 of blue_eagle/html/topic/edit.php) as shown in GitHub #3354 ? :S

because there is no B/C issue with it. It runs on J25 and J34

Is it true that another new "feature" is being added to the template configuration options for K 4.0.4 Blue Eagle — see GitHub #3338 ?

I am not a developer but am participating in some open source projects. I try to do my best to add value: by testing, translating, 'hinting' for new features, helping others, donating for that well deserved beer, and even changing some code. I have several community sites running Kunena and found myself on the junction of looking for another forum component: development of Kunena stopped, communication stopped... I even resorted to your blogs to get some insight or feeling about what was going on: what I read did not motivate me (ubderstatement :whistle: ), actually what it did was make me look even harder for new components.

You cannot imagine the joy I felt that some developers took up the challenge in their own spare time of not only fixing bugs, but also come up with an up to par template. They even have a roadmap!

Long story short: if you live in the past and want to hang on to what once was, you will find yourself in a difficult position as the world moves forward. I agree, not always with the best communication, but with the best intend.
