Kunena 7.0.6 & Kunena 6.4.12 – Security Updates Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.6 [K 7.0.6] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0.

The Kunena team is also pleased to announce the twelfth version of Kunena 6.4, a native Joomla extension for Joomla! 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 6.0.

500 Internal Server Error ONLY on some topics after upgrade to 4.0.7 was created by buzz50
I am getting a 500 Internal Server Error ONLY on some topics after upgrading from 3 to 4.0.7 today.

It only appears to affect the recent posts in these topics.

I am guessing there is a database problem.

This appears to be caused by posts that have an image attachment.

Any ideas?

If I try to create a new post with an attachment I get the same error when I submit it.

Part of the error seems to be:

Call to undefined function mb_strlen() in libraries/kunena/attachment/helper.php on line 463

I have replaced mb_strlen with strlen and this has fixed the viewing of the 'broken' topics.

The 500 error still appears when trying to add attachments to a post on submission.

Any thoughts of what may be happening?

maybe because you have no mbstring installed, ask your hoster to enable this on the php

Thank you 810, I installed mbstring and it is now showing 'Multibyte String (mbstring) Enabled Yes ' in Joomla Configuration.

This has solved the '500 Internal Server Error ONLY on some topics' but I still get the same error when trying to add new attachments to forum posts.

Any ideas please?

if you enable the kunena debug, you will see the real error.
