Kunena 6.3.0 released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 6.3.0 [K 6.3.0] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 4.4.x/5.0.x/5.1.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 6.3

Hi .. I have a big problem installing Kunena.

My configuration is:

Joomla! Version Joomla! 3.1.5 Stable [ Ember ] 01-August-2013 14:00 GMT
PHP Version 5.3.3-7+squeeze14
Database Version 5.1.61-0+squeeze1


The Error I get is:

Unable to write entry

Warning
JFolder::create: Could not create directory Path: /home/mhd-01/www.ortonasondaggi.it/htdocs/components/com_kunena

Component Install: Failed to create site directory: /home/mhd-01/www.ortonasondaggi.it/htdocs/components/com_kunena

Package Install: There was an error installing an extension: com_kunena_v3.0.1.zip

Message
Error installing package

My permissions are: 777 and/or 755 .... everything is writable

Do you have an idea to help me, please?

I've attached an image of the error I'm getting



I've check my file permissions are 777 and that my server meets/exceeds the minimum requirements

Any ideas how to resolve this?

Post details of your website, that screenshot is of no real help. You probably have some permissions issues on your server, but its not possible to assist you based on a screenshot.

You should not have your folders set to 777 unless you want someone to hack your website. This issue is probably permission related, but you will have to post actual information for any support, like your URL for starters.

Thanks! I will bring permission back to 755 as I am back home from work. I installed other components without any jfolder issue...

Make sure you have set the ownership correctly for your directories and files in Apache (use Putty or whichever you prefer).

Can you be a bit more specific, I've never had to do this before.

What directories do I need set ownership for?

And who should the owner be?
