I'm running Kunena 3.0.5 on Joomla 2.5.24 with 'Allow Guests to post' set to 'Yes' and 'Registered Users only' set to 'No'. In spite of that setting, users cannot post without being logged in.

(I tried upgrading to Kunena 3.0.6 but that screwed up all my menus so that I had to restore the site from a backup, but that's a different story.)

The setting is correct. But you must explicitly allow the access also in the category (Category Manager > Category > Category Permissions > User Groups Allowed To Post and User Groups Allowed To Reply).

By the way, Kunena 3.0.5 is out of date. Please upgrade it to K 3.0.6 (see also here the important informations).

Hi

I've recently installed Kunena and have went through the settings. I have also created some categories. The issue I have is that I have checked the setting "Allow guest to post" to "Yes" and have set "Only registered users" to "No. But guests still can't post a new topics, the image or text "Post topic" is not visible. As a registered user it works fine.

Thanx in advance

You need to allow it also in the categories. "Category Manager > Category > Category Permissions > User Groups Allowed To Post" and "User Groups Allowed To Reply".
