How do I disable editing 'name' in profile edit? (I want the users not to be able to change their real-name (not login-name). Is there any way to prevent them from doing so?
Thaks for any answers

There is a setting in Joomla admin for users that disables the ability for users to change their login name.

Does it also work for Kunena forum then?

See attached image. The 'login name' can not be edited (only by the main admin)
The 'Name on display' can be edited. This is what I want to block/disable.
Also uploading a avatar should be disabled, but that has no high priority...

Just a thought, by the way: what if someone registers an account your your website, they make a small typographical error - they mistype their own name (e.g. Micheal instead of Michael) - and forever after will be known as a person who cannot spell their own name. Have you considered that possibility?

No issue there.. I have created their logins (it is not a big site) for them.
Currently 'only' less than 30 members, so editing by an admin is no big deal here.
I have checked and rechecked for typo's, and at this moment there are none. (and the member can always send an e-mail)

The site Kunena forum is used on only grants access for club-members active at the pool (instructors and/or board-members), thus 'staff-members' only.
Swimming pupils ('students') or inactive members have no access to the forum, this is not planned either for now (but who knows what the future will hold).

So our 'comunity' is very limited...
Also the registration is disabled for new members on the site.
