Kunena 6.4.7 Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 6.4.7[K 6.4.7] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.0.x/5.1.x/5.2.x/5.3.x/5.4.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 6.4
Important note: Go to the Kunena Dashboard after an upgrade so that the Kunena database tables are also updated. This is particularly necessary for major version jumps so that the table changes are adapted.

Have you experienced the same problem with previous versions of Kunena? What makes you sure that this is a problem that was introduced in Kunena 1.5?

Several users of this website - developers, moderators and others - have stated on numerous occasions that you should use Kunena 1.0.9. Kunena 1.5.0a should only be used by experienced users of earlier versions of Kunena and it should only be installed for testing purposes. Unless you have evidence that a feature that worked in Kunena V1.0.8 or V1.0.9, does not now work with version 1.5.0a, please do not ask for help on how to use this latest, test version.

Thank you.

Replace line 96 in root/components/com_kunena/kunena.php
Code:
require_once ($mainframe->getCfg("absolute_path") . "/components/com_kunena/lib/kunena.communitybuilder.php");

by
Code:
require_once (KUNENA_PATH_LIB .DS. "kunena.communitybuilder.php");

cheers,

DerFalkner

1.5 is for bug testing only. At this time we are only taking bug reports. Not offering solutions/fixes to problems. It is not to be used on a live/production site. Offering up fixes at this point is counter-productive as the code may change significantly by the time 1.5 reaches beta/RC/stable. You may just cause your forum to be non-upgradeable when these are released. Also these hacks are unofficial and unsupported.

We love stars on the Joomla Extension Directory . :-)

I might be able to throw in 2 cents. This error is reproducable by setting in the kunena global settings the avatar integration picture and profile settings to 'community builder'. leaving it to the default 'kunena' helps.

Cheers, thanx for all the hard work:)

Thank you, yippie. This is what got me interested in this topic in the first place. Unfortunately, the person who started this topic posted in the Installation category (where, I suppose, he expected to get help) instead of reporting it for the benefit of the development team.

Is there a way of moving this discussion to the Testing category?

Indeed, 1.5.0 is only for testing, not for practical use. It is also a security risk, to use alpha versions. Next point: the integration with CB is not perfect in alpha state.
