I have downloaded kunena.thai.php file and I know I'm supposed to place it into this root:

administrator/components/com_kunena/language but there is no language folder! Am I supposed to create one or does it go elsewhere?

First download and install Joomla! Thai language package for your site(what Joomla are you using?(1.5.xx/1.6.x))...
I used Google and I found this site where are links to Joomla! Thai languages: www.joomlacorner.com/ I found it here: forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?p=1175421...165c7244428#p1175421

Look like there is not very active action because of this:

th-TH_joomla_lang_full.1.5.15v1.zip for Joomla! 1.5.xx (latest released version of the Joomla! is 1.5.23)

th-TH joomla lang site 1.6.1 v1.zip (th-THjoomlalangsite1.6.1v1.zip) for Joomla! 1.6.x (latest released version of the Joomla! is 1.6.3)

If you use J! 1.5.23 you should try that first one... it should make th-TH folder in those:

Backend: administrator\language
Frontend: language

Something like this:

administrator/language/th-TH/
language/th-TH/

th-TH (Thai) language files are already done for the Kunena 1.6.4 and they are in Kunena installation package, but you have to install core Joomla! Thai language first... then re-install Kunena

Perhaps the Thai language files translator for Kunena get the ability to steer you to the updated Joomla! Thailand packages...

Thank you for the detailed reply. I uninstalled Kunena for as fresh install of 1.6.4. but upon installation I am requested to click on the green install button but it then logs me out every time! Any suggestions so I can get this re installed and to work in Thai. By the way, am I able to use English and Thai or is it only one language?

OK following my last post Kunena re-installed but I cannot see any Thai. How or where am I able to add categories in Thai as I only see English?

Are you new J! user?... have you selected Thai language for J! for you (site/admin sides) after you install J! Thai language?(what J! ? 1.5.xx or J! 1.6.x?) Does K re-install inform you that K Thai language is installed? I think we need little more details what you are doing there so we don't have to guess everything?
