The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.8 [K 7.0.8] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x./6.1.x. Can I use the kunena.english.php but the inside is my language?
Can I use the kunena.english.php but the inside is my language? I will change only the inside this file and will not create my language file plugin to use at my site. Can I do this?
The simple answer is yes you can BUT the side effect of this is when you do an update all your changes will be lost its better to create a new language file in the langauges folder like this
were the stars (****) are is the name of your language an example would be ( kunena.french.php ) then all you have to do is select your language from kunena administration and your all sorted and safe in knowlege that when you update to a newer version your language file will stay intact..
Thanks for all answer. I've just used Kunena and would like to ask when Kunena release new version that new words will show at the last line of language file or I have to check line by line to compare between old version and new version?
the new version K1.6 is about to go to BETA testing stage and the language files for K1.6 are completely differenet to K1.5 so translation would have to be from scratch. BUT i know alot of the translation are already being done for K1.6 .
