Hello,

Is anyone using Kunene with Joom!fish ?.

I am newbee in Kunena.

To translate the forum Kunena with joom!fish, I am using the contentelement xml files of Ivo Apostolov (Fireboard.zip/3rd-Party_by_JoomFish).

In backend , doing translations with Joom!fish there is no problem.

The problem is: when I select the message from component in front-end, nothing changes, the content displays in original language.

Thank you for your help.

FireBoard/Kunena has known problems with Joom!Fish. What are you trying to do? Are you trying to translate the messages themselves? It will not work as our queries are too complicate for Joom!Fish.

Yes, sometimes I need to translate the messages themselves.

Thanks for your reply

You always need to translate content yourself when using JoomFish.

JoomFish does not do the translation for you, it only lets you manage multilingual content on your site.

If you want automatic translation you need something like Google Translate.

Of course I know:) .

I have no problem to translate.

No problem to display either the tables : jos_fb_categories and jos_fb_messages.

But only jos_fb_messages_text, although translated, is displayed in original language.

Understood - I never bothered translating message text, it would be too much work ;)

Matias is then probably right about DB queries on messages being too complex for JoomFish.

Everything else works for me too, though it would be nice to expose support for fb_config as well:
