Hello, a few months back i tried to install Kunena forum for Joomla 4.x. I had the sama issue, I was not able to install the same data so that I could start editing my forum to my liking instead of starting from scratch. It did not work so i gave up until the time cake to install Joomla 5.

Happy to see the recent version of Kunena i downloaded again.

1. The installation via Joomal "Install from Web" doesn't work
2. I downloaded a copy of Kunena forum and installed via "Upload Package File"
3. All was fine until I had to click the link "Install Sample Data"  The link doesn't work. Nothing can be installed

Is there a way to make this work.

Best, Indrit

Did you click on the blue button [Install]? Do you get an error message? I can't reproduce it. Only one missing translation.

Thank you for the step-by-step guide. I did just that and although it says Data installed there is nothing installed. (NOTE: I created one category my self just to see. How does a sample data looks like anyway?)

Sample data already has sample category and sample posts. Did you create Kunena menu via Kunena - Tools?
You should then see a menu-item Forum on your site.
