Kunena 7.0.4 Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.4 [K 7.0.4] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0

Topics must relate to a currently supported version of Kunena. If you are unsure what is the current supported version of Kunena, please go to the download page.

If you are having problems then, for your own benefit, it would save us all a lot of time if you would kindly post your configuration report when you ask for help from this forum. If you do not post your configuration report we will not ask you for it but you will probably not get your problem solved, either.

Everything was working fine. I upgraded to Joomla 5, and it my template (Helix Ulitmate) wasn't behaving properly, so I restored from my backup, and now I get this error when trying to go to my usual Forum menu item:

0: Call to undefined method stdClass::get()

I switched to the default Cassiopia template, but get the same error. I messed around with the menu item trying to get it working, but no luck.

I don't see the Kunena menu in your configuration report. Without this, Kunena will not work properly. Maybe you mst create this again (Backend -> Kunena -> Tools -> Menu Manager -> Restore Kunena Menu).

Thanks for looking. I did have a simple Kunena menu previously. I just reinstalled from backup again, but still having the same problem. I tried several times to rebuild the Kunena menu and then add items to it, but I'm still getting the same error. Here is my current config, maybe something obvious will jump out again:

Once again, I only see two published Kunena menu items in the main menu. Kunena needs a complete menu in the Kunena menu. If you don't want to see them, you can hide the Kunena tabs in the menu settings.
Your Kunena template could also produce errors, it is not up to date. There is an update from Oct 20, 2023, test it with that.

Thanks, Rich. I'm surprised about needing a full Kunena menu as I never had more than one hidden menu item before, but Kunena worked perfectly.

I'll start by trying to update the template, and then I'll build a Kunena menu if that doesn't work. Thanks again.

Though I'm thinking it may not be the paid-for theme as when I switch to the default theme, I get the same error.
