Upgraded from 1.7 Series - think I might have even been older than than prior to the initial upgrade..

probably did August Upgrade from 1.5 series to 1.7 then 2.01

My Feeds [strike]and Tapatalk[/strike] are not happy...

Forum looks good and seems to be working but Feeds are rendered in HTML
Site Forum Page:
www.sclr.org/roverboard/index.html

Feed Link (at the bottom of the page)
www.sclr.org/roverboard/topics/posts/mod...el-720.feed?type=rss

Shows up as html rendered page of most recent / latest posts.. not an xml feed...

What did I mess up?

I don't know, without seeing your current forum settings, what you might have "messed up". Your forum is not generating anything remotely resembling an RSS feed.

Off-topic: see Kunena Features . Tapatalk is not a product of Kunena. Please discuss your Tapatalk problems with the developers of that product.

Resolved - no Thanks in part to the above response...

Basically had to disable the RSS Feed - clear any and all cache that the site was doing - then re-enable

cleared tmp files , cleared expired caches, checkin and disabled site RSS Feeds and Kunena SEO that it uses, disabled kunena cache option

Refreshed site... rss links went away as expected. (probably missed some other steps but it working now)

Re-enabled kunena RSS Feed and refreshed site - saw feed icon and its working now...

I am pleased that you were able to resolve your problem.

I was intending to respond why suggesting that a general "tidy-up" would be in order. If you look at your configuration report you will notice that you are running a few Joomla extensions that are not compatible with K 2.0.3. These are, in no particular order:
  • Community Builder 1.8.1
  • Kunena Latest 2.0.2
  • Kunena Stats 2.0.2
  • Kunena Login 2.0.2
  • Kunena Search 2.0.2 module

Further, although the K 2.0 offers some backward compatibility capability for people (like you) who are continuing to use the K 1.7 Blue Eagle template, the K 1.7 Blue Eagle template is deprecated in K 2.0 and people are advised to use the K 2.0 Blue Eagle template instead.

You may also find that setting your integration plugin settings in ways that seem to conflict may cause problems. For example, these are the settings from your configuration report:

Kunena - AlphaUserPoints Disabled
Kunena - Community Builder Enabled: access=1 login=1 activity=0 avatar=1 profile=1 private=1
Kunena - Gravatar Disabled
Kunena - JomSocial Disabled
Kunena - Joomla Enabled: access=1 login=1
Kunena - Kunena Enabled: avatar=1 profile=1
Kunena - UddeIM Enabled: private=1

It is advisable that you choose, for those plugins that you have enabled, which of the following you need:

Access: Community Builder or Joomla?
Avatar: Community Builder or Kunena?
Login: Community Builder or Joomla?
Profile: Community Builder or Kunena?
Private messaging: Community Builder or uddeIM?

The Kunena menu is a Joomla menu and, if people find that their forum is not operating as expected, restoring the original Kunena menu can save an immense amount of time in diagnosing problems.

Lastly, but by no means something else that should be overlooked, Kunena should work "out of the box" the first time that it is installed. Although there are many useful changes that you can make to the configuration settings, sometimes making lots of changes can cause unwanted problems and it may be advisable to restore the settings back to their "factory defaults" before pursuing further avenues of investigation.

In the end, however, when people solve their current problems it is always good to know that they've reported back to the forum to let others know what they've done. :) Thank you for doing that.

Lots of clean up performed... didn't realize so much changed going from 1.5-1.7-2.x series...

So take a peek and see if it looks any better...
trying to have CB be the primary integration so hopefully it looks a little less conflicted...

you caught it in the process of updating the 2.0.3 modules and plugins so that was known - but the settings was a great catch...

I enjoyed that response the most in the past several years!
Thank you!

-- Still need to get the template moved over... should be relatively simple just copy over the color codes and hopefully get off of that as well..
