The who is online page and clickable link near the bottom of the forum that was present on older versions seems to be gone?

/who.html was the url extension where a list of online users ,the time and what they were viewing could be seen before the update.

Does 2.0 still have a who page or has this been made obsolete. If there is one how can it be accessed?

thanks.

Have a look at the Index page on this site. At the bottom of the page you will see "Who is online". Is that what you are trying to describe? You can display or hide this information with a setting in your configuration.

Hi there, I am referring to the actual text that says "Who Is Online" on the index page ...it was a clickable link on an old install, and would take you to a who is online page that listed active users, what the user was viewing, and the time.

It was a 3 column page. It only had the active users and the other info i mentioned on that page, nothing else. The column headings were User, Time and Action.

example:

User Time Action

nov33 (42.xxx.xxx.xx) 21 Sep 2012 18:55 User is viewing main page

From memory i could also choose who could view this page in kunena config...admin/moderators only or all registered users.

On the new install that option/feature seems to not be there, both on the front end (the clickable link) and the option of who could click on that link, in kunena config.

so no, i am not talking about the who is online display on the index page that shows all the usernames that are online...i am talking about clicking on the title of that display on the index page, and it then taking me to another entirely different page...on my site that is set for search engine friendly URLS, i had/have the forum alias as 'forum' just like this forum...the url extension was forum/who.html on that page. (as opposed to forum/index.html on the index page)

on the new install there is no such page, and no clickable link on the index page.

i hope that makes sense now

thanks

The only "Who is Online" feature that I am aware of is the one you see on the Index page on this website.

There was a feature in K 1.7.2 that did what you described. This feature is not supported any more because the code was unreliable and it did not work properly in K 1.7.2. We had too many complaints about this and so we removed the functionality in K 2.0.

Hi
For me, this functionality, in my forum, it was important and reliable. If it were possible to reactivate the function, I would be happy.
