Kunena 7.0.4 Released
The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.4 [K 7.0.4] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0
Question Is it possible to prohibit edit messages in some forums ?
Edit: And I want to know too if It possible to allow to post only once in some threads.

There is no "some cateogies" exclusion. It's all or none.jazzmega wrote: I want to prohibit edit posts in some [categories] ...
It is not possible to do this in Kunena. Is it possible to do this in any other web-based discussion forum that you have seen? :Sjazzmega wrote: And I want to know too if It possible to allow to post only once in some threads.

The forum at Joomla, itself ( forum.joomla.org ) is a phpBB forum and I have not seen these restrictions implemented there.
The question in my mind is the practicality of your idea. If, for example, someone starts a topic and is limited to only writing one message in that topic and, likewise, if other people are restricted to only writing one reply in the same topic, how does this help. Take this topic, for example - in a self-help forum where sometimes we need to ask for further information - if I or you were restricted to posting only one message in the topic this would not be very useful, would it? It would mean that you would have to be as thorough and complete as possible in that one post that you made and there would be no margin for error and no means of elaborating, clarifying or answering other messages posted after people had made their contribution. In my opinion - and this is only my personal opinion - this does not facilitate frank, open and comprehensive coverage of discussions where people meet to exhange their ideas, views and opinions. But that's just my opinion and I may have overlooked some deeper meaning that you have in mind.
These things really depend on the purpose of your website and how a web-based discussion forum assists that purpose.
Would you like to share your views on how these features would improve Kunena and, if there is support from the community for those features, we could consider implementing them in Kunena. Thank you.

I ask this because we need this for my web, my community is dedicated for formula1 and car online racing, and after each race we need to open a thread called "complaints" where each pilots makes their complaints and these post are formal/serious and they only can post two times:
-One to make the complaint.
-On the other hand, one to reply the complaint.
And in this point, We have had instances where the pilots edits their posts and this confused to staff team. This is the reason because we want to prohibit the function "edit" in some forums/threads or set a limitation to posts in some threads
The rest of the forum, off course, there aren´t any prohibition.
Thanks a lot for the reply.

On the other hand, if your forum moderation team is alert, people could post their complaint in a category that was subject to approval before it appeared on the forum and you could move the topic to a locked area that would thereby ensure that people would then be unable to tamper with their original posting. Topics in locked categories can then be dealt with by appropriately qualified moderators.
Thank you for your very interesting question.
