Question [Merged topic] Discussbot in reverse?

Don't know how common a question this is but here it goes. Is it possible to have a forum post be made automatically into a Joomla Article?

I've never seen this done anywhere (Joomla or not) so I think the answer is no. Copy-and-paste and there's your article.

this is an interesting request. Have not seen it before. it will take a little custom code but should easily doable. This might be an interesting option for other forums too. I assume the create article link should be limited to moderators or even admins?

We would then need a dedicated screen that allows you to set the initial Joomla article parameters like section and category.

I will add this to the list of future features. No promises when this can be done, but it definitely sounds interesting.

I'm happy to gave you a good and new idea.........

It was born by starting home page from community and not from classic Joomla Home.....
I think community and Forum are the core of new portal....then i need to select topics (where users and Admin can write) and publish in a "selected"/"highlighted" section of the portal (not in the forum).....
