Kunena 7.0.4 Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.4 [K 7.0.4] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0

This category contains miscellaneous, uncategorised user contributions, (templates, modules, plugins and hacks) relating to older versions of Kunena that are no longer supported.

This category may also contain a few topics relating to K 1.6 that may have been moved here possibly by mistake.

The topics in this category are for historical interest only. Owing to the structural differences between K 1.6 and K 1.7, these ideas in these topics will not work with later versions and, for that reason, the topics are locked.

Matias will not find the time, to support me in this case. My templates have ca 40 modified files.

I am no php crack. So I don't read the code like a book. I must match original 1.0.10 file with my modified 1.0.10 file. Than I must compare 1.0.10 file with 1.5.3 - and insert my changes. This means 80 matches.

And with every new Kunena version, this work starts again, so I am feeling like doing a never-ending task - next Kunena release 1.5.4 is coming soon. It is not, like making a Joomla Template, this can be used for 1, 2 or more years, without changes.

The Kunena Development Team knows this problem and they, resp. we (I was asked to help on Design Development) are planning and working on a better structure for Template design: Splitting code and Design to make it easy for Designers in the future.

But in the mean time, I am really unsure, if I'll upgrade to 1.5.x native or if I stop developing template with Kunena 1.0.x . For Kunena 1.0.x I will upgrade to all upcoming releases, that I promised and I will do so. That is interesting for Joomla 1.0.x users.

So, I am sorry, yet I have not decided, if I will upgrade my templates to 1.5.x, because, when I do so - I must upgrade every further release too. And I want to start with my own projects next days (building and bringing my site online), so my time will be very restricted.

I think you should know this and perhaps better use another template with "native" future. ;)
