Question Site Crashed After Upgrade

Last night we upgraded to Joomla 1.5.22 without any issues and then upgraded Kunena to latest version. After the installation, we are getting this error:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class smile in /home/mileshop/public_html/components/com_kunena/template/default/smile.class.php on line 31

We are a nonprofit and take registrations for our charity events here, and the site being down is critical. Can someone please help me to quickly resolve this?

Thank you so much for your help in resolving this?

Bob

Ah, I found the problem instantly by looking at the K 1.6 configuration report.

If you had read the technical requirements article or if you had read the K 1.6 release notes , you would have seen a reference to the following important piece of information:

Please uninstall the "Kunena Latest" module that you have. That software was not designed by the project team, it was never endorsed by the team and it was a constant source of problems.

It is very important that you read about using Joomla's "legacy mode" in the Wiki.

Also written in the technical requirements documentation:

If you are using other Joomla extensions that integrate with Kunena 1.6 (or that claim to integrate with Kunena 1.6) you should also upgrade them to their latest versions.

You should therefore upgrade JomSocial, too. See K 1.6 needs Jomsocial 1.6

I notice that you seem to have temporarily resolved your problem by going back to K 1.5."something". Please let us know when you need our help.

I suggest that, before you attempt to make any changes to your live website, that you you have a test site (that mirrors what you have on your live site) where you can test and make sure that things work before you go "live".
