Hello,

Had you tried zip method ?
Had you tried install by directory ?

I don't provide support by PM, because this can be useful for someone else.

shaun.reid: We have been asked this questions a number of times and yet the the process is really simple.

I am going to show everyone how simple it is using the "install from URL" method. There are other methods and you're welcome to use any method that you feel more comfortable using, but I know that this method is usually fairly reliable.

Step 1: You need two browser windows.

(1) To your Joomla Extension Manager on your admin site. This is a picture of what you should see:

(2) Go to the Kunena download page: www.kunena.org/download , locate the image on that page that looks like this:

Step 2: Get the location of the download URL.

Right mouse-click the image on the Kunena download page, and choose "Copy Link Location" from the popup context menu that appears. For K 1.6.2, this should look like this:
Code:
http://joomlacode.org/gf/download/frsrelease/13390/59237/com_kunena_v1.6.2_b3894_2010-12-29.zip

Step 3: Paste the download location on the Install from URL link.

On the Joomla Extension Manager page, press CTRL-V to paste the link you copied in step 2 above, into the Install URL input box.

Step 4: Begin the installation.

Press the button labelled Install (that's the button to the right of the Install URL input box where you pasted the link to the Kunena installation ZIP file).

Hi Tried that and now I get this error - * Remote Server connection failed, failed to open stream: no suitable wrapper could be found
* Invalid URL

I have tested other components and they seem to work fine?
