In Forum Configuration > SEO Settings, I have made search engine friendly URLs to "yes" and do not use IDs to "yes". Enable UTF-8 support is set to "know"

- You are in control of the URLs. The new install simply defaults to /forum but you can edit the menu alias of the Forum menu entry and put in"oscar-fish-advice-forum" to get /oscar-fish-advice-forum like you used before. I tried it manually and the old url will work. Also set Do Not use IDs to NO.
- Careful with those stats. If you want real users stats, I recommend you look at something like Google Analytics. Server stats can be misleading. Part ofthe numbers you are looking at it actually due to improvements of Kunena 1.6. For example kunena.com uses 1/2 of the GB transferred compared to a year ago while serving 50% more traffic. This is due to minified css and js in K1.6 as well as gzip page compression. So Data Volume going down is fully intended and a good thing. Same thing for hits - the css sprites will reduce the hits significantly. As for visits, I would change the URL alias and see how the next couple of days turn out. You also have to factor in any issues you had day 1 as well as going into the weekend.
Hope this helps!
