Language changes after login?? was created by woes
Hi folks,
I am having a nasty problem with Kunena, i ran 1.5.x and customized the login so that a popup would open to login. Only, every time a user logged in (coming from a certain page), he got redirected back to the same page, and the language of the whole site changed from English to Dutch. (Not the language of the forum itself though). While the users front and backend languages where also set to english.
While logging in from Dutch gave no errors, except for the redirecting part.
Funny thing is, when logging out from the forumpage, and logging in again, the user does stay on the forum.
I have updated to Kunena 1.6 yesterday in hope to get rid of my problems, without luck.
Well, the redirection problem is gone, but the language problem still remains..
During the installation i also got the following error, while the dutch language installed OK.
"Installing language English (United Kingdom)" ... FAILED
I figured it has something to do with my problems..
We have the development site running here: www.cre8web.nl
login with: testuser / testpass
Any help in the right direction would be greatly appreciated!
Kind Regards,
Woes

Hello,
Do you have on your the english joomla! core language pack ?
In the login of the forum, the things are white like the background so you can't see anything...

Yes, the default language is english, from the admninistrator i checked the version of the language, it's 1.5.15
Dutch language is 1.5.20..
Sorry, I have changed the forum template now, so now you should be able to login at least, we still have to redo the css markup since the upgrade destroyed it

Language issue is not related to Kunena as Kunena only asks Joomla to load com_kunena. Joomla takes care of the rest. So you should probably ask this from Joomla forums or if you have JoomFish (or similar) from their forum.
English file may fail to install because of permission issues. Please unzip our main package -- you will find English installation file from archive. Try to install it by Joomla installer and look what happens..

Hi,
Thanks for your reaction, i have tried to manually install the language file included in the kunena archive, generating the following error:
* It was not possible to copy the selected file.
* JInstaller::install: Failed to copy file: /home/admin/domains/cre8web.nl/public_html/tmp/install_4cac80466591e/site/en-GB.com_kunena.ini to /home/admin/domains/cre8web.nl/public_html/language/en-GB/en-GB.com_kunena.ini
I have also googled around a lot for similar problems like this, but i can not seem to find an answer.. Also i searched trough the joomla and joomfish forums but i can not find anything related to this problem..
