Question View Counts ZERO

After upgradation to the K1.6.2 from K 1.5.15, view counts for posts are not working. All counts are stuck to previous numbers before upgradation.

I had similar error when i had upgraded FB 1.0.X to K 1.5 version, which i fixed by manually changing auto_increment in phpmyadmin HITS database. I just want to know anybody is having similar issues. Any solution to fix this problem

I hate to do this, but I am sorry for reminding my fellow members that even after upgradation to 1.6.3, I am having same problem.

Moreover, I cannot see few posts in recent topics link which are recently posted by members. After upgradation to 1.6.1 when member create new thread it appears on Recent Topic list but after few replies it disappears from Recent Topic list. Though Axxis Superactivity modules nicely shows these new posts and their replies. I dont know whether I am the only one who is facing this upgradation blue errors. (this error is there with sh404sef enabled and disabled)

Morever I cannot see Attach Image option for guest and registered users! (It is enabled in the backend)

To start with please share your configuration report. Without it nobody has any idea of guessing what could be wrong.

If you are have sh404SEF installed, you should definitely disable it until you find the issue.

Few things:

You are still running a Joomla 1.5 site with legacy mode enabled. While this should not cause the issue at hand, you really should get off old legacy code.

I also see that sh404SEF is installed and enabled. Please disable or uninstall it - at least until the issue is found. It adds too many possible issue by itself that you can go for circles finding this problem.

Checked out your site. You are indeed running sh404SEF against the forum pages.

In addition I want to make sure you are aware of the performance implications this will bring with it: Your forum pages are already getting slow with only 5000 posts, with 25,000 they will become extremely slow, with 40,000 the site will break under the load of sh404SEF. It is not built for high URL volumes. It works great on blogs and anything non forum related. Once it deals with 10,000s of URL its cache will each up all the php CPU on your server, and if you don't cache the queries will each up MySQL.
