Kunena usually works straight out-of-the-box without making any changes to it. Did it work like that for you? Did you make any changes at all to Kunena after you installed it? What version of Kunena are you using? Did it install correctly? Have you deleted something? Do you have any sections or categories? Have you read Sections, Categories, sub-Categories (Part 1) ?

Which modules?

As you can appreciate, this kind of problem that you're having could be caused by several hundred factors. Therefore it might be a help if you provided us with a bit more information. Your K 1.6. configuration report would be a good start.

I am using the latest version of your components and modules -- Kunena 1.6.

I understand how to install Joomla components and modules, have done so numerous times, though I am new to your product. It installed correctly. I made categories and put them in the Main Forum section..Could not make new topics either for the existing category.

Here´s my configuration report:

Please disable legacy mode if that help

I don't provide support by PM, because this can be useful for someone else.

Community Builder 1.2.2 - there's one big problem right there! Please read K 1.6 needs CB 1.2.3

You are also advised to upgrade to K 1.6.2 and, as xillibit wrote, to remove your dependence on legacy mode and to eliminate any J! 1.0 components/plugins/modules/languages/templates that you might be using that need J! 1.5 to run in legacy mode. Please read the very important information about Legacy mode in the Wiki and do something about it now before it becomes a serious problem later. K 1.6 has not been tested for "legacy mode".

I can't see any other reason, at this stage, why you cannot create new topics. However, if you attend to the three important points I've just mentioned - (1) upgrade CB; (2) upgrade Kunena (3) disable legacy mode - and things still do not work for you, please let us know and we will see what we can do to help.

Hello, I did all three of your recommended steps, upgraded CB and Kunena and turned off Legacy, and still have the same problem.
