Kunena 7.0.4 Released
The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.4 [K 7.0.4] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0

I suppose we should be asking ourselves the question "What stopped those files from being stored where they should have been stored?" - which may be a file permissions problem - and whether there was an error message that appeared when you were installing Kunena. You can always try re-installing K 1.6.0 again (as many times as you like, actually).
You can also find these files by extracting them from the Kunena installation kit (.ZIP file) that you downloaded and then FTP them to your website.
