Warning: Using direct link to Kunena component. Redirected to menu item in /forum/index (ItemID=43). was created by micrantha
Hello,
This warning keeps apperaring, no matter what variation in configuration I try.
I reproduced configuration as described in documentation:
Kenena menu item Forum with menu item type Entry page, and Default Menu Item of choice - in my case Index.
Main menu item Forum as after installation: menu item type Menulink, and pointing to item Forum of Kunena menu.
But again and again this message:
Warning: Using direct link to Kunena component. Redirected to menu item in /forum/index (ItemID=43).
I would very much appreciate a solution for this problem.
Kunena version: 1.6.1
Joomla version: 1.5.22
Regards,
Micrantha

Can you please post a screen shot of any menu that contains links to Kunena + mainmenu.
That way we can see what has been setup and how.

Hello,
Thank you for your quick answer.
I have attached screenshot of backend main menu setup.
When you want any other information I will give it.
ItemID 42 is from Kunenamenu, item 'Forum'
43 is from the subitem 'Index'. I now have bsic configuration, with the warning:
Warning: Using direct link to Kunena component. Redirected to menu item in /forum (ItemID=42).
Hope you can help me on; I have 2 subdomains in development for which I have to set up a forum, and both have this warning.
Template is based on Joomlart JAT3-framework.
Regards,
Micrantha

Did you tried to change the menulink to the index tab so it points direct to item with index 43?

Hello,
A follow-up of my earlier posts: I think I found a work-around which keeps away the warnings.
I depublished the menu-item 'Forum' (alias 'forum') in Main Menu.
Next I created a new menu-item 'Forum', with different alias-name, and menu-item-type 'External link'.
The URL I used points to the Main Menu Forum-item I depublished: http://domainname/forum
Now this link to the forum opens the forum without warning, and forum seems to function OK.
If anyone can explain why this way around is necessary, please write it here.
Thank you.
