Question New ACL Permissions

New ACL Permissions was created by LGjoomla
With the new ACL permissions in 1.6.1, I'd like to do something like this:
1. Allow certain users to view, but not post to a forum
2. Allow certain users to view and post to a forum
3. Prevent certain users from viewing or posting
How can I accomplish this?
Thanks,
LGJoomla

There aren't any new ACL permissions as such in K 1.6.1. What happened with K 1.6.1 was to provide some hooks to other third-party ACL products. If you read the
release notes for K 1.6.1
you can find out what those other ACL products are. Have you installed any ACL software on your website?

Hi -
Yes, I have Juga as my ACL provider, which isn't on the list (but am happy to switch if necessary).
So, assuming I have the proper ACL installed, how would I implement these permissions?
1. Allow certain users to view, but not post to a forum
2. Allow certain users to view and post to a forum
3. Prevent certain users from viewing or posting
Thanks,

You might also like to see what I wrote on a similar subject a short while ago:
Forum Restricted to Moderators
You can allow certain classes of users to read, post and reply to a restricted category.
At the moment, there is no mechanism in K 1.6.x that prevents people from posting to a restricted category if they have the ability to view the category (i.e. read messages) unless you lock the category. If you assign certain users as as moderators of that category, and they have ACL access to that category, they can post messages.
