An API has been an ongoing work in progress. I am not sure why you need to know this information but, if you would like to assist the development team, please let us know. Thanks.

Hi, thanks for the response. I personally know so little about this stuff, I doubt I'd even be able to break anything let alone help in any way!
I had asked hwd video/photo share about creating a tab on the profile page and editor button, they asked if there was an api.

I'll refer the question to the developers. I don't know the answer in this case.

I'm also interested in the API.
I did see a response that said the developers have moved on... so I guess I should assume that it's not available for 1.6?
I'd be very interested in a web service solution. I have an Android application website, and what I want to do is to allow a question and answer service about Android Apps, and I'd prefer to integrate that into Kunena. Is there some documentation available for the various classes.. even if the API is not usable yet?
Also... there are about 170,000 Android Apps, currently divided into only 22 categories. I certainly don't want to create 22 sections and 170,000 categories, so how would you suggest this be approached? Should I just create 22 categories and add a field to `jos_kunena_messages` table (Joomla 1.5.20) with the App Id?
What would be the suggested "Best Practices" way of doing this?
