Setup menus to make sef urls work was created by woonydanny
ok, need a little help here.
I am trying to get the menu to work correctly.
I would like to have a "Forum" menu item on the main menu (like on here at kunena.com) with 4 drop down options - Categories, Latest Posts, New Topic and My Posts.
Then I would like to have the kunena menu at the top of the forum in the kunena_menu position to show these 4 menu items plus a few more. So show:- Index, Latest Posts, My Posts, New Topics, Favourites, Subscriptions, Deleted Posts (only for special access) and Unapproved Posts (only for special access)
I have tried doing this a few different ways, but cant get it to work properly, as i get non sef urls in some instances (eg. www.site.com/component/kunena/?view=listcat )
I am thinking I need to be making some menus a kunena menu and some a menulink in joomla pointing to the kunena menu items.
I have read the kunena wiki, but was hoping someone could walk me through it as it still isnt working for me.
cheers

further testing i think has revealed that when you first sign in it is not sef urls (
site.com/forum/your-posts
), but instead incorrect urls like
site.com/component/kunena/mylatest?view=latest
anyone know how i can fix this?!!

done more testing and i think the problem lies with the kunenalogin module.
it is not making the urls sef but the main menu and kunena_menu is correctly making sef urls for kunena
