Question Are animated avatars possible in Kunena 1.6?

It's depending on Image Processor of your hosting.
Typical favorite IP like GD2 didn't work for animate gif.

no animated gifs are not supported as avatars are resized and animated gif can not be resized

I noticed that when some users avatars are displayed in the Whos Online module i use they have animated gif. But when they make a post in the forums the animated gif just becomes static. Is there a way to change this? Is it like that for a reason? Can it be changed/ will it be changed?

i tryed to search but when i use the search function in this forum i only get a white page.
But thats not my question, it is when a user trys to upload a gif animation as avatar, the forum resize the image and the animation is not present anymore. Is there a way how i can fix that?
