Joomla 2.5
KUNENA 1.7

I am building a very simple site that will have a single topic on the homepage; nothing more. Is there a way to make a topic URL the homepage? I have been unable to figure it out.

Thank you for your help

G'day, tt_chatter, and welcome to Kunena.

Thank you for your question.

Actually it's very easy to do that.

The only thing you need to do is to create a menu item that points directly to your topic (the one that you want on your home page) and make it your default menu item. Yes, that's all you need to do.

If you want more information, please post the URL of the forum topic that you want to be your "home page" item, and we can tell you more what you need to do. :)

Hello sozzled,

Thank you for the quick reply. I am definitely interested in more information

The URL is: the-amt.com/new/index.php?option=com_kun...id=4&id=7&Itemid=0#7

I did try to do that using the external URL function, but apparently the homepage has to be a component.

Thank you for your help

I may have been a little optimistic. It may not be as easy as I thought with K 1.7.2 and J! 2.5.4

Let me experiment a bit and see if I can get back to you.

You're right. It looks like you cannot make an External URL link as a default "home".

This can be done with Kunena 2.0, which is ready to go out in a few days.
