Question User Groups in Joomla and Kunena Users

I haven't started my community yet - just getting things set-up. Here's what I want to accomplish.

Small community of a couple hundred people. Three separate "groups" of people. Group A, B & C.

Group A can not ever see what Group B is discussing. But moderators can see it all.

When users register, they are assigned by Joomla to core Group A, B or C.

Can Kunena make it so Group A can only see Group A forums, and Group B can only see Group B forums by interacting with the Joomla Core Groups? I don't see where that would happen.

Or maybe, there is a menu link that shows only Group A forums to Group A users (because the menu is locked to access levels). Can Kunena forums be split up separately on the SAME website but forums are split out by menu items?

I haven't really used Joomla 2.5 yet, so I'm not really familiar with all the ins and outs (but it looks pretty straight forward). I'm trying to streamline this development by asking key questions without spinning my wheels too much!

Yes. You can set things up this way. Although we prefer not to use the term "forums" - we use the word categories, instead - you will find some useful information in I have to apologise for the quality of the documentation. The second part needs to be completely rewritten but the basics are mostly OK to go with. In the time since those articles were written, J! 1.6/1.7/2.5 have been released and K 1.7 now utilises ACL mechanisms to control access to forum categories.

This is quite possible. I suggest you read Multiple forums on one Joomla . I hope this helps.
