The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.6 [K 7.0.6] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0.
The Kunena team is also pleased to announce the twelfth version of Kunena 6.4, a native Joomla extension for Joomla! 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 6.0.

Thanks for the offer! Unfortunately we have decided to make Kunena 1.6 require IE7 or higher. There is just way too much missing or buggy in IE6 and the effort for writing special one off code is in no relation.
Having said that, if the community comes up with fixes that make IE6 look better that are ready to be applied patches, we certainly would consider them - as long as the implementation does no break any other browsers.

I can't installed it without the failures in the editor (e.g. not working attachments for IE7).
I think some IE7 fixes are also helpful for IE6.

We really need some help with this. I believe none of us has access to an IE7 machine. All our test machines are at least IE8 and there is no way on windows to have both browsers on the same system.

This probably isn't the right place to have a discussion about IE6, but not sure where else to put this.
IE6 causes me more problems than all the other browser types combined. However, the audience for my web community is people mostly on "work" computers which are managed by IT departments. In other words, my audience can't upgrade their browser themselves; IT has to do it and they won't. I think their IT dept's are risk-adverse - afraid of breaking other web-based applications that are required by their company.
I did a poll of an group of my potential users a few weeks ago (~150 people), asking what browser they use. Results are interesting: IE6-29%, IE7-18%, IE8-36%, FFox 3.x-16%, Safari-2%, Chrome-0%. Amazingly, in spite of everything that has improved in browser functionality in the last 10 years, IE6 is the 2nd most used browser in my audience. I don't think my results are an anomaly - I've seen similar reports for users on "work" computers.
In my opinion, I think you are really close to having Kunena 1.6 working with IE6, and I would be happy if only the real functional issues were addressed (cosmetic issues, ok). What do you think?
