The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.8 [K 7.0.8] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x./6.1.x. After I installed the 1.6 every single letter which was in russian in the 1.5 version now unreadable, in other words instead of russian symbols I see "?????????" The UTF8 is on! If I post in russian it is also in unreadable symbols.

No, the messages itself are unreadable. I am not talking about icons, I am talking about the actual posts! The name of the forum was in russian, after update it is in "??????????"
Did not work. Actually may be I did something wrong. I am a nooby. But I think you are right, there is a problem related to my data base. Is there any other way to try to fix the problem? May be I could give you pass and login to my site and you check it yourself if it is possible?
