The only extension I use that depends on Legacy Mode is DocMan. I'm aware that they now have a 1.5 native commercial version but I haven't upgraded to it because I have been very satisfied with the current free version and do not want to introduce anything potentially disruptive to the site.

Key Question: Will keeping my present version of DocMan running in legacy mode on my J 1.5.20 site be a problem when I upgrade Kunena to 1.6? I'm presently running K 1.5.12.

Sincerely,
Howard

Just upgrade docman. It has been improved both with function and security and only cost $5 or $10. Well worth it, it is a quality product by some of the (ex?) core Joomla developers

still wish that i can write my forum signature through a jomsocial plugin and do it from my jomsocial profile :(

My main concern with upgrading Docman is I want to be sure the document lister option/module is still available. I use this a lot on my site and I want to be sure they did not eliminate it in their commercial version. Any idea on this?

i know this may sound wrong but wouldnt i be better for you freedomcoach to go and ask the people at docman if they have or have not got a feature in there software rather than taking this topic more and more off topic. just my observation but would make sense to me.

mods: if im speaking out of turn feel free to delete this post

@freedomcoach

You could be interested in JoomDoc, a fork of native Docman, which is free of charge and licensed under GNU GPL license.
