Kunena 7.0.5 & Kunena 6.4.11 – Security Updates Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.5 [K 7.0.5] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0.

The Kunena team is also pleased to announce the eleventh version of Kunena 6.4, a native Joomla extension for Joomla! 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 6.0.

yeah there is a hack over on the jomsocial forums if you cant wait for the kunena team's released integration
still wish that i can write my forum signature through a jomsocial plugin and do it from my jomsocial profile :(

Ok cool.

Has there been any official indication when the version will be out with that functionality?

Does someone know the appropriate link to the hack over at jomsocial? Its quite easy to get lost over there amongst the threads.

The plugin is modified from the fireboard forum and updated relatively quickly after each release of JS or Kunena.

Quick question... As I am not at all proficient in coding, is this now a simple plugin in anywhere or does it still require modifying code... I noticed the plugin download, but it was surrounded by information talking about changing the code and I get nervous about having to do that each time there is an update...

Yes there is code replacement, but still pretty easy. It requires that you replace one file called post.php in com_kunena/template/default/post.php. The discussion in the thread is really about keeping it up to date and making additional functionality.

That said, you do need to look through the thread to understand.
