Huh? What do you mean "every single video that it supports?"

Kunena doesn't automatically embed anything unless you instruct it. The boardcode [video] tags allow you to display different multimedia filetypes within Kunena messages.

In what way, specifically, would you like more information about how to use the boardcode?

Huh? You just type " www.youtube.com/watch " and you expect the You Tube video player to magically automatically embed itself? Is that your question?

I'm sorry. That's not how boardcode works. I wrote a brief tutorial about how to embed a You Tube video: see A basic forum help page for beginners: videos

He's not expecting YouTube videos to automatically embed, he's saying that they DO automatically embed!

If you just straight copy and paste the video address, it'll embed it with no tags necessary.

For example, copy this url:
Code:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQaDkkbTbGA

Then paste it into a post. Preview it. It automatically embeds.

Wonderfully convenient, IMO. =)

I think the question is, should other video sites be behaving the same way? Or is it possible to make them behave that way?

Thanks for the tip, Moonstone. I've learnt something new! :woohoo:

Guess what? Type a You Tube URL and Kunena does automagically embed the video player into the message post. Don't ask me if that's a Kunena feature or a You Tube feature. I'm still stunned at how easily that works! :side:

As for whether other video providers make it as easy in Kunena, I haven't a clue!

Have you tried?
