Question Download European Timeformat: d.M.Y instead of Y/M/d

This download is for all languages, that use the timeformat d.m.Y and not, as in kunena Y-m-d or Y/m/d etc.

No "xxdays xxhour times ago", every date is formatted, announcement, birthday, registerdate and lastvisitdate, too (the last three points were possible by help from xillibit - give him a karma up )

1. Important, some changes only can be done in the language-file : kunena.yourlanguage.php (administrator/components/com_kunena/language) (of course this is not included). For that you must check your language translation files, to replace e.g. %Y/%m/%d with %d.%m.%Y.

2.Important: This download is for Kunenan 1.0.8 only! It does not work with other versions.

Only unzip and upload it to your Joomla /Kunena - Installation

This is a new updated version (01.03.2009)

If you want to modify files in you own way, download the attachment above.

Then use Winmerge to find out all differences between original and my changed files.

not workin for me + i lose the birthday icon

If you want to retain the birthday icon, upload the 2 x original view.php in template default and in template default_ex. The icon is hide, because it shows the us-format yet, if mouse over.

What does not work exactly? (Because their is no difference of kunena code, if you use a german, an english or another language forum. And for me and other it works perfect. The only difference is the language file itself (not included) and the images folder (not included)

The folder structure where to upload is shown in the attached file.

To get your forum in your language, the following is recommend:


Original Kunena 1.0.8 (installed)

The language translation in your language with the following files (place to upload)

• kunena.yourlanguage.php (/administrator/components/com_kunena/language)
• FOLDER named yourlanguage, eg german (components/com_kunena/template/default_ex/images)
• Same FOLDER a second time in template default (components/com_kunena/template/default/images)

If you have this installed as above, you download the attached file, unzip it and upload it.

This should work perfect.

Hint: It hides the birthday icon (because mouse hover show US-Timeformat yet), to unhide this icon, don't upload the view.php into template default and the view.php into template default_ex.
